Napa Wedding with a vintage flair

I loved Lydia & Michael’s destination wedding. Even though it was only an hour’s drive for me, Lydia & Michael came out from Chicago to be married in the beautiful Napa Valley. Their wedding took place in Yountville, and there were little vintage touches found everywhere from the cutlery to the parasols to the flower vases.

I think my favorite part was when it started to rain…really hard. Everyone rushed into the tent, but we were all laughing and making the most of it, and none of seemed to faze the couple in the least. Once the rain stopped, a beautiful rainbow appeared. For Lydia, who had walked down the aisle to “Somewhere over the rainbow”, it was particularly special. I always love shooting a wedding in Napa, and because this one took place at a private residence, it was particularly unique.

Lydia & Michael’s perfect wedding day recipe:
graphic design: Nikki Lo Bue at Caliente Creative
letterpress: Stacey Stern at Steracle Press
event consultant/catering: La Saison
flowers: Tesoro
cake: Sweet on Cake
videography: Studio MSV
music: Oye Productions
transportation: Royal Coach
lighting: Lux Lighting
honeymoon destination: Four Seasons, Costa Rica

  1. Loving these pictures. It’s sad, my sister got married in Nevada, and they don’t like the pics their photographer took at all. Luckily, friends took quite a few. She said they all look like they have a green tint to them…
Anyway, your pics are so awesome….Love #3,18 and 21 but my favorites are #4 and #12! Wow! Awesome. Love the peacock and the rainbow! New award winning photos (to be)! xoxo Jeanne
