This post is a few days late, but I think better late than never. Easter is one of my very favorite times of the year because it means I’ll be honoring my Ukrainian grandmother’s tradition of creating lovely pysanky with my family and friends. Its an elaborate process involving beeswax, lit candles, strong colored dyes and lots and lots of paper towels, and you can see all the other years’ eggs by clicking here.
THANK YOU to all of my friends who came over this season to make pysanky with me. (In fact, if you see your egg here and you would like to pick it up, be sure to let me know! They are all shiny, emptied and ready to go.)
Wonderful blog photos on pysanky! Impressive work by your friends. Did you do any this year 2013?
Still working on them!

So much fun. Thanks for allowing me to partake in your tradition. Can’t wait to do it again.
