One of my favorite going-out type things to do is bowling. I picked up a bright purple bowling ball (complete with purple shoes!) at a thrift store years ago, so I don’t even have to rent shoes or hunt for the perfect ball. Since my twin, Joy, was back in the Bay Area and out with her friends at the Beauty Bar, I made last-minute plans to go out bowling for my (actual) birthday.
