Lenni is one of the cutest babies I have ever photographed, so it makes total sense that her party would have the cutest details. I shot this with the help of my youngest niece, Millie, at the darling Bumble Los Altos last weekend. The whole party was so much fun, but my favorite event was the following Korean tradition: On their first birthday a child is set in front of a variety of items – each representing different things. Whichever item the child picks up first is said to predict his or her future. Lenni chose the pencil, so she is sure to be very scholarly! (and she wore the same gown that her mother wore on HER first birthday!)
